In the past two weeks Jaxon and Mason have been putting forth a special effort in developing mad skilz. It has become quite the competition with each always trying one-up the other. It started with Mason learning how to move into a sitting position on his own. Although Jaxon struggled with that particular move he figured out how to pull himself up to a kneeling position and then around the time we were moving Jaxon started crawling short distances. Mason was clearly intimidated, so he started pulling himself up to a standing position. Jaxon began working on his stair climbing, which is quite impressive. Although Mason likes to climb the stairs he doesn't love it the way Jaxon does. Anyway, they are both able to crawl now, they both pull themselves to a stand and they can both sit up on their own. Jaxon's biggest weakness is that once he is standing he doesn't know how to get back down. Mason has this mastered, which means he currently holds all the cards.

Although Chase is generally a good child, he has some very bad habits (no, not smoking). He really likes to get into the bathroom drawers to play with the lotion, toothpaste, makeup or whatever. Most recently he pulled some Desitin off the kitchen counter and proceeded to rub it all over his face. Naturally, I grabbed the camera and took a picture, all the while trying to appear as though I'm scolding him. This reminded me of when he tried doing the same thing with mascara a while back.
